Choose the Right Tour for You
We offer three snowmobile tour options. Choose your adventure in Golden, Paradise Basin, or Kicking Horse and get ridin’ and slidin’! We welcome riders of all experience levels on all tours. However, each option has different tour days and departing times, so read through program schedules carefully. Give yourself enough travel time, as all snowmobile tours take place in British Columbia due to regulations in Banff. Shuttle services may be available depending on the chosen tour and group size.
We also offer our Powder Seeker package for guests seeking additional exciting adventures to enhance their Banff stay. After enjoying a half-day snowmobiling in Golden, BC, choose a winter rental and venture through surreal snowy landscapes. We offer skates, snowshoes, ice cleats, or cross-country skis for your group to choose from.
Gear Up for Greatness
Between sprays of snow and cold winds that whip past, staying warm when embarking on your Banff snowmobile tour is essential. Bundle up in layers like a light thermal undershirt, lightweight fleece, and warm winter coat. Don’t forget about proper footwear to keep your feet warm! While we recommend ski or snowboard boots, you can also wear any insulative winter boots. Lastly, bring snow goggles to protect your eyes from sun glare and flying snow.
Leave mittens, hats, or long scarves at home! While these accessories are welcome during other winter activities, they can impact your safety during snowmobiling. Instead, opt for fingered gloves to protect your hands and a neck gaiter or balaclava for your head.
Pack Like a Pro
Before you start sledding in style, double-check what you’ll need to bring. Some of our Banff snowmobile tour options have specific documentation and requirements, such as:
- Liability waivers
- Security deposits
- A credit card
- Drivers licences (16+ or 18+)
You should also bring other important personal items such as:
- Water bottles
- Identification
- Sunscreen
- Daily medications
Read through your tour itinerary to ensure you bring everything. If you’re unsure, don’t hesitate to reach out to us before your date! We want to avoid any delays so you can hit the trails without any delays.
Get There Early
When it comes to making the most of your day, the early bird gets the worm (or, in this case, takes to the trails!). Leave plenty of time to get dressed, double-check your backpack, and reach the meeting point. We recommend using the DriveBC online tool to check your route before leaving to avoid any unexpected roadblocks or hazards.
We also offer transportation options from Banff for an additional fee on full-day Kicking Horse and Paradise Basin tours.
