The Banff Experience

If you are a young family looking to make memories with your kids this winter, the Banff Experience is the activity package for you! Treat your family to a sleigh ride, snow tubing, and a winter gear rental of your choice. The Banff Experience is easily our most popular activity package, especially for families with younger children. It’s fun for the whole family, and the best part is that the activities can happen on separate days.
Sleigh rides are available every day and departing on the hour. The sleigh rides operate from 11:00am to 3:00pm during the week; weekends and holidays operate from 10:00am to 6:00am so there are plenty of opportunities to hop on the sleigh.
Giggles are guaranteed when you’re zipping through fresh snow down a mountain in a rubber tube with your kids! Only a five-minute drive from town, Snow Tubing is available at Mount Norquay, with eight high-speed tubing lanes sure to pump your adrenaline. Make sure to reserve your tubing sessions in advance.

Family Fun Package

The Family Fun Package is ideal for adventurous families looking to explore all the Rockies have to offer during the winter season. Snowshoe along the Bow River, skate along the frozen lake behind the Chateau Lake Louise, or strap on ice cleats and witness the frozen splendour of Johnston Canyon’s lower and upper falls!
The Banff Gondola is exquisite in the winter. During the ride up and down Sulphur Mountain, you will be treated to panoramic views of the five mountain ranges surrounding the Banff townsite. At the peak of Sulphur Mountain, you can dine at a world-class restaurant, visit the interactive learning centre and wander down the massive boardwalk to gaze out on the land below.

Winter Rentals
The winter rental equipment is handed out on a first-come, first-served basis, so make sure to get your rentals at the start of the day! The sleigh ride is the perfect in-between activity before or after using your rental equipment for skating, snowshoeing or hiking with ice cleats.
