Make the day of it in Golden and enjoy a thrilling raft, followed by some scenic views or spread your activities out and compare the beautiful Banff Gondola views to Goldens sky-high canyon suspension bridges 426 feet in the air.
Golden Skybridge: Perch 426 feet above an expansive canyon, engulfed by the Columbia Valley. The Golden Skybridge rewards with views of the Rocky and Purcell mountain ranges like you’ve never seen before, while a crashing river and 200-foot waterfall thunders below.
Kicking Horse classic Rafting: Raft all the rapids on the river. This unforgettable journey begins calmly, then it’s onto the mighty rapids the Kicking Horse is famous for. As the canyon narrows, the waves build, drenching rafters in continuous rapids finishing 20 km downstream. This is the best trip on the river. Hands down.
Banff Gondola: Experience a 360° view from the upper gondola terminal and get a view of six mountain ranges. Witness breathtaking views in every direction from one of several observation decks. Discover a 1 km interpretive Summit walk to a National Historic site. Explore the world class interpretive and interactive centre with fun games and lots of information on the creation of our beautiful Bow Valley and the surrounding Rocky Mountains.
Banff Canoe Rental: Enjoy a 1 hour canoe rental on the serene Bow River. Your canoe begins at the Banff Canoe Club with basic tips from our friendly dock staff before heading on the river to explore at your leisure.

Adventure Pass Activities:
- Railrider Mountain Coaster - Inspired by the railway history of Golden, B.C., the Railrider’s tracks guide passengers along a kilometre of alpine scenery. After ascending the mountainside, the thrill begins — riders pick up speed through the forest and along the canyon edge as the coaster curves and turns towards the bottom of the hill over a total vertical descent of 73 metres (240 ft).
- Sky Zipline - Adventure-seekers won’t want to miss the 1,000-foot zipline that provides a thrilling ride across the canyon. From 500 feet in the air, you’ll be treated to an incredible bird’s-eye view of the thundering waterfall and rushing river below. Plus, there are four ziplines tracks so you can challenge friends and family to a sky-high race.
- Canyon Edge Adventure Course - Put your strength and stamina to the test with our fun-for-all-ages ropes course. The Canyon Edge Challenge Course features three different courses with varying degrees of difficulty — including an option for kids — so you can climb, balance, sway and swing while suspended up to 40 feet in the air.
- Climbing Wall - Navigate your way up our 28-foot rock climbing wall, complete with easy, moderate and challenging routes. Made by world-renowned builder Eldorado Climbing Walls, our wall mimics natural rock features for a fun-filled test of skill. Navigate with a climbing buddy or race your way to the top, with six available spots spanning the wall.
- Axe Throwing - Summon your inner lumberjack (no plaid required) as you hurl hatchets down our target range. Challenge your family and friends in our four lanes of sharp-throwing fun. Available for guests 16 and older, located right beside the plaza.
