Dogsledding in Yoho!
Dogsled Tour - Canadian Heritage Tour
Adventure Details
Follow in the tracks of the legendary Ike Mills and his team of big-hearted huskies who travelled these valleys 100 years ago, resupplying the Canadian Pacific Railway’s backcountry lodges.
You will be travelling up a valley in Yoho National Park, under the North Peak of Mt Victoria, Mt Cathedral and the Watchtower.
While the dogs are the stars of the show and will hold most of your attention, your guide will point out the blue-white glaciers, mountain top cornices sculpted by wind, and local critter tracks, while sharing the history of travel by dog team. They will also happily tell tales of life with sled-dogs and boast shamelessly about their dog team!
There will be ample time to get to know your wonderful dogs and to take plenty of memorable photos.
