Please note, for this tour you meet at the Wapiti Sports office in Canmore to check in first, you then have to drive out to the Spray Lakes for your fishing. You are required to have your own vehicle for this tour. 

You will be fishing out on the Spray Lakes where a heated hut will be set up ready for you. 

The Spray Lakes Ice Fishing Adventure offers the chance to catch Lake Trout from 1-3 lbs. There is also a chance of hooking into a lunker as 10-20 lb fish are caught each year.

A knowledgeable Guide to give instruction and a warm heated hut with fishing equipment. For lunch, you will have your catch served on-site with tartar sauce and fresh bread rolls, and warm drinks. Groups of 6+ guests will be catch and release only to help preserve fish stocks. Smokies will be served for lunch instead.

High winter boots are essential for the Ice Fishing trip as you are standing on cold ice for the entire trip. Warm winter jacket, pants, hat, gloves/mitts are required. Sun glasses are essential as the sun light reflecting off of the snow can be extremely bright.

As the huts are heated, we would suggest that guests try to dress in layers, so that you can be comfortable both on the walk down to the huts (10-15min walk) and while inside the hut fishing.

You are also welcome to bring some snacks with them if you desire, but no alcohol is allowed.
 

An Alberta fishing license is required by guests 16 years of age and older.  You must pre purchase this and bring with you on the day. License can be purchased at https://www.albertarelm.com/licensing.page

Ice Fishing is offered from December – February however it is weather dependant so it is not guaranteed during this period. 

The tour is subject to a 72 hour cancellation policy. No refunds will be provided if guest cancels within 72 hours of tour time. Groups of 10 or more are subject to longer cancellation periods.
