Moraine Lake Shuttles from Banff

The access road to Moraine Lake has been closed to personal vehicles since the summer of 2023. The only way to access Moraine Lake now is through shuttle services. For the sporty spices, it is still possible to bike, run, and hike up the road – be warned, it’s a steep and winding 10km long road.

While there are a lot of bus & shuttle operators to Moraine Lake, most of them only depart in Lake Louise which causes a large amount of personal vehicles in the town of Lake Louise, as well as parking shortages. Departing from Canmore and Banff, we're able to address these challenges, ensuring our customers have a hassle- and stress-free journey to both Lake Louise and Moraine Lake

We advise booking your Moraine Lake shuttle tickets as soon as your Canmore & Banff travel dates are confirmed. Due to limited daily capacity and high demand, seats fill up quickly.

Please note: access to Moraine Lake is exclusively via shuttle services, as the access road is permanently closed to personal vehicles. Additionally Parks Canada is undergoing major road construction in Lake Louise, it is advised to not drive your personal vehicle to Lake Louise.

No, since we have limited daily capacity, and our drivers have a daily overview of the customers they need to pick-up, it is not possible to use a different pick-up location than the one you booked for. When 0 customers booked for a certain pick-up location, our shuttles will not stop and skip this location to safe time.

Yes. When booking your departing shuttle to Moraine Lake, you will be asked to book a returning shuttle from Moraine Lake back to your departure destination.

It is very important you take the returning shuttle you booked!

Missing your scheduled shuttle means you may have to wait until the last return shuttle (sunset shuttle) departs Moraine Lake at 11 PM – if this one still has capacity. Alternatively, you’d need to arrange for a taxi at your own expense. Due to our limited capacity to and from Moraine Lake, we cannot accommodate flexibility in choosing a different return shuttle.

Missing your scheduled return shuttle from Moraine Lake means that you may have to wait until the last returning shuttle – note that this is only possible if this shuttle still has capacity !!!

Alternatively, you’d need to arrange for a taxi at your own expense, or walk a long 10km winding road to the town of Lake Louise to then organize a taxi!

(please remember there is very limited to no cell service at Moraine Lake, additionally this year Moraine Lake Road is exempt for vehicles under 10 passenger – this is also the case for taxi services.)

When booking, you’ll need to select both a departing and returning shuttle to and from Moraine Lake. The price for the returning shuttle will show $0 since the round-trip price will be shown for the departing shuttle.

Unfortunately, we do not have children safety seats at this time. Children between the ages of 2 and 6, or under 40 lbs. or 10 kg, must be secured in a child safety seat. Bringing a child safety seat is the responsibility of the customer. When safety can not be guaranteed, our drivers will refuse passengers – please note that tickets will not be refunded in this case.

Children under the age of 2 are not permitted to travel with our shuttles.

Unfortunately, our shuttles are not equipped with wheelchair lifts. However, if you are physically able, our drivers will gladly assist you in boarding the bus and ensure that a foldable wheelchair is stored securely during your journey.

No. Due to our limited capacity on each shuttle and carefully calculated seating arrangements, all guests are allocated spots on the departing and returning shuttle they booked.

Therefore, we are unable to accommodate passengers on later shuttles without prior rebooking.

Tickets that have been purchased are non-refundable.
