We Love our Dogs

We adore our sled dogs and believe they are the heart and soul of every Dogsled Tour we offer! At the core of this passion is the exceptional care and training we provide. Our professional guides undergo extensive training to ensure the safety and well-being of our beloved teams.

With over 200 dogs in our kennel, we can maintain optimal run/rest cycles, allowing our furry athletes to perform at their peak while enjoying their work. Our flexible approach, paired with expert guides, ensures that we can adjust team strength to balance weight without imposing any restrictions on sleds. These dogs thrive on running and pulling, doing their job with boundless energy and enthusiasm!

A Diverse Pack of Sled Dog Breeds

We take pride in the diversity of sled dog breeds in our kennel, including the Alaskan Husky, Siberian Husky, and Seppala Siberian Husky. Each breed brings unique qualities and character to the sledding experience:

  • Alaskan Huskies: Known for their versatility and athleticism, these dogs are exemplary sled racers and dynamic team players. Originally developed by crossing Siberian Huskies with breeds like greyhounds and pointers, they exude friendliness and resilience in all shapes, colors, and sizes!
  • Siberian and Seppala Siberian Huskies: These traditional sled dogs showcase enduring strength, loyalty, and the classic double coat that ensures they’re prepared for any climate.

Our Exceptional Dogs

Our kennel features Alaskan and Siberian Huskies, specifically bred for their incredible stamina and love for running. They aren’t selected based on looks alone; instead, we prioritize their working drive, friendly disposition, and genetics that help them flourish outdoors year-round.

Given our regional climate, we focus on athletic, medium-sized dogs that are better suited for diverse temperatures. Their mixed heritage ensures fewer health issues, such as hip and foot problems, while maintaining their signature double coat for both warmth and cooling.

A Philosophy Rooted in Care and Inclusion

For two decades, we've committed to adopting dogs rather than breeding litters. Our kennel welcomes dogs from various situations—retirements, downsizing, and race program changes. We don’t discriminate based on appearance or abilities; instead, we provide them with the care, training, and socialization they need to thrive.

With a high dog-to-staff ratio, every musher and guide participates in our comprehensive dog-care program. This hands-on approach ensures our dogs receive the attention and love they deserve, creating happy, healthy companions for your sledding adventure.

Join us and experience the joy, energy, and unmatched teamwork of our incredible sled dogs!
